It’s When Things Go Wrong That You Must Not Quit

This morning I received an incredibly uplifting text message from my friend, author, Thomas Russell (go listen to his radio show and podcast Life Without Limits) and I wanted to share with you my favorite line from that message: “it’s when things go wrong that you must not quit.”

The whole message was amazing but this line struck me the most, because it’s SO true.

When things are going wrong, falling apart, feeling like they’re not working, never gonna work and you’re just wasting your time, it’s easy to quit. To throw in the towel and just say, “screw this.”

It’s what most people do.

It Doesn’t Always Look How You Thought It Would

When we have a dream, goal or desire, we usually also have a vision or clear picture of what that all looks like. We know the size, the shape, the color, the [insert whatever detail is relevant for your dream/desire].

The problem is, we often get so caught up in the vision or the details of how we think it should look when we achieve our dream/goal/desire, that we may not even realize we don’t actually want what we thought we wanted.

For example, last year was the happiest year of my life so far. I had the most amazing, incredible, fantastic year. All the amazing things I experienced last year (like having my screenplay place as a Semi-Finalist in a prominent script contest!) were things I asked for and worked toward and intended.

You Can Believe In Abundance and Still Be Broke

I know it sounds like an oxymoron; you believe in abundance and yet you don’t have an abundant life. Huh? Many Law of Attraction and manifestation gurus out there tell you that you have to believe something and then it will eventually be yours.

Eh—I’m calling bullshit on that.

You can absolutely believe in abundance or freedom or love or whatever you believe in and still not be experiencing it in your life. And that’s because there is some fine-tuning that must be done.

You Never Know How Close You Are To Receiving What You Want Until It Shows Up

Okay, so that headline is pretty obvious. Of course, you never know how close you are to receiving what you desire or achieving what you dream of until the day it happens.

And the funny thing is, you could be SO CLOSE; it could be right there, ready to pop into your reality the next day, and you’ll still think it’s a million miles away just because you can’t physically see it.

That’s why you have to be clear on what you want, ask for it, take action on it and then TRUST. Trusting is always the hardest part because we’re taught that if we can’t see something with our physical senses; if we can’t see it, hear it, touch it, smell it or taste it… then it’s not real.

But that is A TOTAL LIE, AND it’s also the reason why most people never get what they really want.
