As you move through the seasons of your life, you may find that what you once needed you no longer do, what you once wanted is no longer of interest, or what you once thought was required actually isn’t. This has 100 percent been the case for me in my life.
I used to think I had to have a coach at all times, someone to use as a sounding board for my thoughts and ideas. I used to think being successful required figuring out or learning some strategy and then following it to the letter (which I suck at). I used to think having it all was a pipe dream, yet one that I still wanted.
This year, I finally decided to listen to myself. To stop thinking some coach, some strategy, something outside of me was the answer.
I finally decided to go all-in on being me and on doing the things I know I’m meant to do. None of which required a coach or a strategy or anything else that I thought it did.
Nothing wrong with having a coach or wanting one, I’ve had many over the years, and have also coached many people. Nothing wrong with strategy, it’s definitely useful and can help you achieve your goals if it’s aligned and feels good to you.
But you don’t need those things to get where you want to go.
In fact, the only thing you need to do is to start listening to and trusting yourself. Trusting what you feel and see inside of you.
Trusting the inner-nudges you feel to do something or say something or go somewhere or take an action of some kind.
As I’ve been writing my new book, F*ck the How, I’ve been getting so many inner-nudges for things to do to actually create a “launch” around the book, including making an entire TikTok channel dedicated to this topic and sharing the story of how I manifested my divorce using the process I’m writing about in the book. This is something I have never really done before when it comes to one of my books. It’s totally out of my comfort zone.
But I’m not over-thinking it (too much–HA!). I’m just doing what I feel called to do and letting that be enough.
And I have to say, it’s been a lot more fun and gotten a lot better results than how I’ve attempted to do things previously.
For me, 2021 is all about stepping fully into who I know I’m meant to be and fully trusting myself and my inner guidance. I truly feel, for the first time in a long time, like I’m right on time, right on track, and right where I’m meant to be.
