The Best of 2018: Interview With A Children’s Book Author, and More

Depending on how long you’ve been part of my community, you may know that I have a background in Journalism (if you didn’t know that, now you do; I have a degree in Journalism and PR and worked in the industry for a handful of years).

I’ve always had a curious mind that loves to ask questions and receive answers. So Journalism was the perfect thing for me to go to school for.

And even though I’m no longer a Journalist in the traditional sense, I still incorporate a key Journalism skill into my business: interviewing. I love to interview experts and people in the industry and ask them questions about how they got to where they are, what tips they can share for others, and more.

So continuing on with our “Best of 2018” series, here are the best interviews I conducted with experts this year:

  • Maria Connor from My Author Concierge–Maria is a professional author assistant. She helps authors manage their business, do their social media and more. She shared some great tips for authors looking to outsource their marketing efforts.
  • Marcie Colleen, children’s book author–this was by far my most favorite interview this year. Marcie is a successful children’s book author, and it was so fun to get a peek into her world. If you want to write children’s books, do not miss this interview. (Marcie and Maria’s interviews were originally recorded for my Multi-Passionate Mastermind group)
  • Sarah Rhea Werner, author and podcaster–Sarah is doing some amazing things combining podcasting with fictional storytelling. She’s created an audio series for her stories that has grown quite a following. In the interview, she shares what she’s doing, how she’s doing it, and her tips for writers who want to give it a whirl. If you’re looking for a unique way to get your stories in front of more people, check this interview out.

I always have a blast interviewing the amazing people I come across on my writing and entrepreneurial journey. I can’t wait to bring you more interviews in 2019.

Dream life or bust,

jen
